Asphalt 5
Asphalt 5 is a powerful state-of-the-art 3D racing game on the Droid. It brings superb graphics and true multiplayer capabilities to the racing genre on Android. You can pick from a dizzying array of tracks, cars (with all your favorite muscle cars), conditions (snow, dirt, asphalt, …) and time of day. The attention to detail and animation is very realistic, bringing realistic physics and textures to your Droid. You can pick between an excellent range of competition types, from basic racing to timed laps and drift contests. Shadows and reflections on the vehicle surfaces are well-executed and add the ultimate real touch to the game.
The controls are not that easy to get the hang of, but spending a little time with them is well worth the effort. Once they become second nature, you’ll find yourself completely immersed in the game and covering more and more challenges. The game shows plenty of details including your current gear, speed, lap, position, and most importantly, the track diagram. The latter lets you really position your car on the racing line to get the best speed out of the corners. A wonderful and mature racing game for your Droid.
