Springpad for the Droid 2, Droid X, and Droid series of Android smartphones is another “everything bucket” that lets you capture all manner of information including notes, images, barcodes, geolocations, and more. The app is a little more innovative than the similarly-featured Evernote for Android app. It automatically pulls up relevant links and offers for each item you save (emphasis on relevant). If, for example, you scan a book’s barcode for later purchase, Springpad will automatically pull in pricing information and the best deals. It’s an excellent to dump any ideas or thoughts you might have and associate them with images or other pieces of information easily.

The app is well-integrated with online services and lets you search for nearby businesses and offers from within Springpad. The interface is easy-to-use and gets out of your way for most frequently-used tasks. It syncs with a free online service, so your data is available from anywhere. You can easily share information right from within the app with other Android applications, including gmail. The search is fast and accurate and the whole app feels very snappy on the Droid. Springpad takes Evernote’s productivity features and combines them with excellent online integration to bring you the best Droid 2 app for capturing ideas, tasks, and useful little tidbits from your life.
