Ruler Green
Sometimes the simplest apps are the most useful. Ruler Green is an app that you can use to measure small distances. It’s basically a green colored ruler presented as a grid on the two sides of your Droid’s screen. The grid might come in handy to measure areas as well. The ruler goes down to the millimeter level in terms of accuracy. You can also switch between Centimeters and Inches as the basic unit of measurement.
The app works right off the bat, and you shouldn’t need to calibrate this app with your Droid. In case something’s off, perhaps due to an update that breaks calibration, you can simply find a real ruler and mark off 10mm from your Droid and see what measurement it corresponds to on the real ruler. Once you enter that measure, your app will once again be calibrated. It’s difficult to become a fan of this calibration method, since you can probably only get accuracy down to 1mm. But you shouldn’t need calibration to begin with. A simple and functional measurement app on the Android Market.
