Cab4Me is a powerful travel application that will help you find cabs quickly from almost any city in the world. If you’re new to a city it’s very likely that you’re not familiar with the range of available taxi services, let alone know the right telephone numbers. Cab4Me will automatically discover your location via GPS and pull up all the available taxi services in that city. It’ll also show which cabs are free and available closest to your current location, so you can call the corresponding service for the quickest dispatch times.
There’s more. For each taxi company you can see whether or not it accepts credit cards, whether it can accommodate disabled passengers, and other subtle details. This Droid app also lets you see ratings and reviews of the taxi services so you can just use the best one in the city. This amazingly focussed and yet comprehensive app will be a huge life-saver the next time you’re in a strange city. A must-have for frequent travelers.
