Droid Apps – Greed
Greed is a simple and effective RSS reader for the Verizon Droid. It comes with full Google Reader integration and synchronizations work in both directions. So marking an RSS article as “read” in the app will reflect the change in the Google Reader interface and vice versa. Available actions include starring articles, marking them as read or unread, and sharing them with your network. Shared items from your friends’ readers are also visible from this Droid app.
This Droid app’s interface presents a very native look-and-feel, so that articles don’t simply feel like poorly rendered webpages. Each article fits nicely into the Droid’s screen and adjusts cleanly for landscape mode. Greed lets you set notifications that are customized on a per-feed basis. Tapping on an article title will launch the browser and pull up the article there so that you can see it in the original formatting. Greed is a wonderful light-weight RSS reader for your Droid.
