Alice (Gig Guide)
Alice is a simple app that lets you know when your favorite artists are in town (or close to your town). This is done automatically by first discovering your location via GPS and then keeping a watchlist of artists that you like and syncing with event services around the world. It also syncs with Last.FM, so if you have a profile there it’ll automatically figure out your favorite artists from there.
It also does maps, Droid calendar integration, and notifications built into Android’s notification system. You can share the events you discover directly through Twitter, Facebook, or even email. If you intend to attend a specific concert, you can buy the tickets right from this app as well. It’s a great app to just configure once and sit back and collect the notifications. You’ll never miss a favorite artist performing live again.
