Dictionary.com is a powerful full-fledged dictionary app for your Droid and Droid Incredible. This is the official app, and it brings you over 300,000 words and definitions along with an addition 300,000 synonyms and antonyms. The app needs connectivity to work, there’s no offline mode. The Dictionary.com Droid app also does audio pronunciations for those difficult words, and every word comes with the phonetic symbols.
There’s also a Word of the Day widget to go along with the app, which presents good new vocabulary that’ll be useful for everyone. The interface is excellent even though the app has opted for a slightly unconventional row of menu options at the top of the app instead of the bottom. Some of the text can get a little difficult to read, since each definition presents a bunch of information with varying degrees of emphasis. Overall, an excellent Dictionary app and a must have for every Droid owner who spends a lot of time reading or writing on their Droid.
