Knocking Live Video
. Knocking Live Video is a phone-to-phone live video streaming app for the Droid series of smartphones. It lets you stream live video from your Droid to another smartphone owner who’s running the same app (the app is available on multiple platforms, including that other one). While the Qik app lets you stream videos to the web, Knocking Live video is all about streaming to another smartphone. These streaming videos are called “knocks” in the context of this app. It works both on 3G and Wi-Fi.
Streaming quality on this Droid app is quite good on both 3G and Wi-Fi under ideal conditions. However, it deteriorates to a slower frame-rate quite quickly of the connections aren’t very good. No doubt improvements will come your way with updates. Starting a “knock” is as simple as running the app and tapping the button. You can share knocks with family and friends as well as arbitrary users depending on the privacy settings you use on the App. Overall, this is an interesting Droid App that lets you share live moments with friends and family.
