DockRunner

Posted by droidapps
on April 26, 2010 ; Check out Droid Accessories.

DockRunner for the Droid is an app that kicks-in even when you don’t attach your Droid to the cradle. Previously, you’d have had to buy the $30 dock to get this app to launch. With this free app, you can do it without the dock. This Droid app launches a clock, shows the weather forecast, an image slideshow of your choice and can play music. You can get out of the app simply by running the app again and return to it by holding the home button for a bit.

Droid Apps - DockRunner

The weather display is automatically shown based on your location. The interface is a refreshing change from Android’s default icons and menu items and is very pleasing to the eye. The alarm clock is nicely configurable, and the app itself lets you set different schemes for the background. It’s quite a useful interface to have running on your Droid, and it doesn’t take up much of your Droid’s battery life. Overall, a clever and useful little application for the Droid.
