MyBackup

Posted by droidapps
on April 23, 2010 ; Check out Droid Accessories.

The MyBackup Droid app is a backup and recovery service for your Droid. With MyBackup (which comes in free and Pro versions) you can backup your apps, contacts, call log, bookmarks, text messages, MMS, calendars, home shortcuts, settings, alarms, playlists and more. You can pick either your SD card or a secure online server as the backup destination. It’s also excellent for migrating all of the above to a new Android smartphone in case you decide to upgrade or replace your current Droid.

MyBackup allows you to schedule your backups at regular intervals. At present the app doesn’t do an incremental backup (only sending changes back to the server), instead it does a full overwrite every time you run a backup. The manage button lets you go in and toss out stuff you don’t care about in the backup (say an app that you have since deleted), while the view button lets you check the status of your backup and see the files on the server or SD card. Overall, this is an excellent app to have in your arsenal.
