. US Yellow Pages Search, which is the official name of the Yellow Pages app for Android is, as you guessed it, an interface into the yellow pages, including business listing. However, I’m sure you didn’t guess that it comes with voice recognition and an augmented-reality compass view that layers business and map information over your camera’s viewfinder. So you can simply launch the app and say “Plumber in Seattle” and the app will pull up a listing of plumbers in Seattle close to your current location.
The augmented reality view has a little radar on the top right corner of the viewer that shows glowing points representing businesses that match your search query. You can zoom in on the view and the address and business information is listed below the camera view. You can call the business in question with a single tap right within the application. A full-fledged and surprisingly powerful Yellow Pages app on the Droid.
